Using Drought Forecasts to Improve Natural Resource Management
3 PM (EDT)
Natural resource managers face increasing challenges in dealing with drought, and the ability to forecast the onset and termination of drought becomes more important as competition for water increases between its various uses (water supply, energy demands, ecological services, recreation and other environmental needs). This webinar, hosted by U.S. Geological Survey, will discuss drought forecasting and its application in resource management, particularly the challenges of developing policies that work well when future conditions are difficult to predict.
